The drinks aren’t on us just yet, but for those that have already arrived and want to find some attendees to hang out with, you’ll find us at the bar in the hotel for early evening drinks. Then most people will head out for planned client or social dinners and then we’ll nominate a bar for late evening drinks should anyone want to meet up again. |

Learn who’s who right at the start of the event to help with your networking! The 60-Second Pitch session gives one representative of each participating company the chance to take to the microphone for just 60-seconds to provide a fast elevator pitch about who they are and what their company does, so that members of the audience can make a quick note of who they want to meet during the conference, and put a face to the name so they can more easily find them.
Please Note: This session only lasts one-hour and so participation is only guaranteed to the first 60 companies to purchase delegate tickets, so if you haven’t already, REGISTER NOW to secure your spot! |

Every speed meeting gives each delegate one minute to share more details about their business and exchange business cards. Join us for a night of fun, food, open bar and entertainment surrounded by cultural history at the Musée de la civilisation. With the entire museum to ourselves, enjoy a walk through one of the exhibits, drinks on the rooftop terrace and then enjoy the rest of the event with dinner and live entertainment in the Grand Hall du Musée.

This session will review the Canada Revenue Agency’s Memorandum on GST/HST application to timeshares. It will discuss what you need to know if you sell taxable goods and services in Canada, including sales by non-residents doing business in Canada, plus some guidelines to help you determine whether you are carrying on business in Canada. And you will hear about some of the various CRA publications that are available to help businesses.
Michael Monk has been an employee of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for 33 years. During that time, he has worked extensively with the Goods and Services Tax (GST), a tax that applies to most supplies of goods and services made in Canada, and with the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) in provinces where the GST has been blended with the provincial sales tax. Michael currently works in CRA Headquarters, GST/HST and Digital Compliance Directorate, where he has managed CRA’s National GST/HST Presentations and Conference services for the last 7 years. |
